Firstly,
you will have to complete the online registration form and submit it
online with CargoX. Thereafter, a shipper has to send us a copy of the
PAN Card, IEC Certificate and a signed copy of the user agreement. A
Forwarder had to send us a copy of the PAN Card, IATA Code Certificate
and a signed copy of the user agreement. These documents can be sent to
us either via mail or e-mail if they are digitally signed. Once CargoX
receives these documents and they are verified, your registration will
be approved.
What do I do if I have forgotten my username / password?
There
is a "forgot password" link on the home page in the sign up box. Once
you click on it you will have to enter the registered e-mail address.
Your username and password will be e-mailed to you thereafter.
What if I want to modify my shipment request?
Once you have posted a shipment request, you may modify it only until a bid has been placed.
What if I want to cancel the shipment after a bid has been placed?
You
cannot modify or cancel your shipment request even if a single bid has
been placed. You have a legal binding contract to complete the
transaction with the winning bidder.
How can I prevent last minute bidding?
You
can set the auction expiry time such that the auction expires late at
night. This would prevent last minute bidding to a certain extent.
On what basis should I place my bid?
All
the relevant information you need to place a bid is present in the
shipment request form filled in by the shipper, for e.g. credit terms,
insurance, delivery terms etc. In case you need any further information
or clarification, you can do so via the common message board. You
should place your bid only if you agree to the CargoX User Agreement
and the Shipper's Special Terms and Conditions. Moreover, your bid
should including ALL CHARGES including airline charges, agency charges,
taxes etc. You may NOT CHARGE the shipper any amount over and above the
specified bid amount under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Once you place a bid and
it turns out to be the winning bid, you have a legal binding contract
to fulfill your obligations by performing the mentioned services.
What if I want to modify the bid I have placed?
Once
a bid has been placed it cannot be modified under any circumstances.
You may only post a new bid to improve on the current winning bid.
Who is the winning bidder?
At
CargoX, the winning bidder is thrown up through a reverse price auction
mechanism. Once the auction closes, based on the Auction Expiry Date
& Time set by the shipper, the ongoing lowest bid is the winning
bid.
How does "My Funds" work?
When
you deposit any amount in your account with CargoX, it will be
reflected in "My Funds" with reference to the date, cheque number and
receipt number. This amount will be added in your "Current Account
Balance" as soon as we receive it at our end. When you bid for a
consignment, proportional amount of funds gets reserved for current
bids. The Amount Available for Bidding is your Current Account Balance
Less Amount Reserved for Current Bids. If you win the auction, that
amount will be deducted from your account as match fees on the
consignment. If you loose the auction, the amount reserved for current
bids will be reset to Nil.
How do I deposit money into my account?
You can deposit money in your account via a cheque or a demand draft, payable to "Counter Freight Pvt. Ltd."

Can I contact a shipper / forwarder directly?
CargoX
is a marketplace which is completely transparent. We do not hide any
information about shippers and forwarders from each other with respect
to any shipment. However we do not encourage any direct communication
between the shipper and the forwarder until the auction is closed and
the winning forwarder decided. Once the auction is closed you will
receive an e-mail with all contact information of the counterparty,
after which you can proceed with the shipment by contacting each other
directly. CargoX is a marketplace with a transaction based revenue
model, hence any direct offline communication between the shipper and
forwarder intended to bypass the CargoX Match Fees is disallowed and
illegal. This would lead to elimination of feedback ratings and
elimination of being charged only for transactions you complete.
On what basis should I leave my feedback?
You
are required to leave your feedback in the form of positive / neutral /
negative based on the performance of the Shipper / Forwarder. You also
have to leave a comment on the basis of communicational ease and
efficiency, flexibility and compliance with dates and payment standards
of the shipper or delivery in terms of time & quality of the
Forwarder.
How is the feedback score calculated?
The feedback you leave for the shipper / forwarder leads to the development of a composite feedback score.
Feedback Score = Positive Feedback - Negative Feedback
Positive Feedback % = Positive Feedback / (Positive Feedback + Negative Feedback)
